Shane shook his head and buried his face in Reed’s neck. “I’m sick of doing that.”
“Dance?” Reed asked quietly, stroking Shane’s hair soothingly.
Shane lifted his head up to talk again. “Can we go back to watching the movie?”
Reed kissed Shane’s forehead. “Of course, love,” he murmured, still stroking Shane’s hair.
Shane slid back under the covers, pulling them up to his chin and curling into himself. “I’m sorry,” he apologized in a whisper.
Reed kept running his fingers through Shane’s hair. “Don’t be sorry,” he murmured. “Just try to sleep.”
Shane shook his head and buried his face in Reed’s neck. “I’m sick of doing that.”

Shane’s attention was quickly drawn back to Reed. “No, of course I do, Reed. It’s just…you’re always the one to finish first and then you just leave me there to take care of myself in the shower or something and I’m so tired of doing that because it makes me feel worthless and insecure and I know you don’t mean to make me feel that way so I want to stop things before they get to that point again,” he rushed, wiping tears from his eyes. “I’m sorry. I’ve ruined everything….”
Reed reached for Shane’s hand. “You didn’t ruin anything,” he promised softly, lacing their fingers together. “I’m glad you told me. Because I want to fix that. I want there to be equal give and take in this relationship.” He leaned up to press a kiss to Shane’s lips. “I’m sorry I make you feel so insecure. I really am. Is there any way I can make it up to you?” he asked softly.
Shane pulled a tissue from the box next to them and wiped at his face, shrugging in response to Reed’s question. “I don’t know what I want right now,” he admitted.
Reed stroked the back of Shane’s hand with his thumb. “Just want to cry?” he offered quietly.

Reed didn’t speed up his kisses. If anything, he slowed down as his lips grazed Shane’s Adam’s apple and gave a gentle bite before they moved down to his collar bone.
Shane gasped as his hips twitched up and met Reed’s thigh. He sat up quickly, pushing Reed off him lightly and scratching the back of his neck. “You probably shouldn’t start anything you can’t finish,” he said, looking down at the sheets as he felt his cheeks heat up. “I think it would be best if we just watched the movie.”
Reed shook his head and looked up at Shane. “I want to do this,” he said simply.
“You never want to do this sort of thing, Reed,” Shane said, rubbing his eyes and pulling the covers over his legs. “Don’t push yourself for me. I accepted a long time ago that you’re not that kind of person. I don’t expect you to do anything just because I want to. Besides, it’s getting late and we should really get some sleep.”
“Shane…” Reed murmured, scooting closer. “I wouldn’t be saying this if I didn’t want to do it.”
Shane reached his hand up to tuck a curl behind Reed’s ear. “Okay,” he whispered, dropping his eyes to the bed again.
Reed frowned. “Do you not want me to do it?” he asked quietly, biting his lower lip.

Reed raised his eyebrows. “Depends on the movie,” he whispered.
Shane climbed off the bed, giving Reed one last kiss before he did. As he stepped over to the cabinet under their television, he opened the door and began searching through the piles of movie cases. “How about Hercules?” he asked, holding the disc up above his head.
“Hercules works,” Reed replied, already scooting towards the headboard and cuddling a pillow to his chest.
Shane jumped up from his spot on the floor and took the movie out of its case to pop it into the DVD player. Once that was finished, he pulled his shirt off over his head and dived back onto the bed, sliding his body next to Reed’s. He grabbed the remote from the bedside table to turn on the TV and press play on the movie. “I love you,” he said, settling against the pillows. “You know that, right?”
Reed nodded and curled into Shane’s side, pressing a kiss to his neck. “I know. I love you too.”
“You should keep doing that,” Shane mumbled, titling his head to the side and motioning for Reed to kiss him again. “Go ahead, keep going.”
Reed giggled and kissed his neck again, trailing them down and towards his collar bone slowly.
Shane lifted his hands up to comb through Reed’s hair, shutting his eyes and letting his lips part slightly. “I love you,” he said again, slightly breathless.
